How do we create spaces where every child feels they truly belong?

Across West Norfolk, the Homegrown research identified a continued growing desire from Churches to better support children with additional needs. Many are already doing amazing things, often without much support or connection with others doing the same. And many want to take the first step to reaching out in their communities.

This practical and encouraging training evening is a chance to come together, learn, reflect, and take simple, meaningful steps forward.

Led by Mark Arnold from Urban Saints, the session will help you grow in confidence, understanding, and practical skills to better welcome and include children with additional needs in your church or group.

What to expect:
✨ Practical, down-to-earth ideas you can use
✨ Real-life examples and shared experience from local churches
✨ Space to reflect on your own setting
✨ Encouragement and connection with others
✨ Clear next steps to take forward

There will also be local organisations present, offering advice, resources, and connections to support children and families in your community.

Who is it for?
This evening is open to anyone working with children or young people - but especially:

Toddler group leaders and volunteers
Children’s and youth teams
Church leaders
Anyone with a heart to better support children with additional needs

We’re also particularly keen to gather those supporting under 5s - this is a first step in building stronger connections between toddler groups across churches.
