The rules are simple!
Beat the Nut is a running/walking 'Last Man/Woman Standing' event held in Kingaroy, on Labour Day long weekend, Monday 4th May, 2026, 7am sharp race start.
+On the whistle, competitors run/walk a marked 1km loop at the Big Peanut Park, and 'Beat the Nut' over the finish line.
+If the Nut beats any competitor over the finish line, that competitor is out.
+When the Nut crosses the line, there is a 2 minute break before competitors begin the next 1km loop.
+The Nut will get progressively faster on each loop.
+The last male and female adult (16year and up) and child (15 years and younger) standing wins.
-All competitors MUST run/walk ALL 1km loops, if you miss a loop, you are out. No missing loops for a longer break and coming back in fresher, that's sneaky and not allowed! ;) Miss a loop, you are out.
-Loops can be run/walked at your own pace, as fast or slow as you like, as long as you beat the Nut over the finish line.
Registrations open soon and will also be available from 6:15am-6:45am on the day! Strongly recommend pre registration to avoid queues on the day. $40 per adult and $25 per child.
This page can be used to ask questions about the event-ask away!
Beat the Nut is a fundraiser for a local not for profit organisation, Eva's Place in Kingaroy. All funds raised from entry are donated to Eva's Place in Kingaroy, and will stay within Kingaroy to help local families in unexpected and challenging pregnancy and early parenting situations.
