Spring Tree Thinning

Mark Your Calendars - New Date!

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, March 14th to help the Shade Tree Commission thin trees along the Schuylkill River West Trail. This tree care supports healthy growth of planted saplings and promotes diversity of tree species by reducing competition.

When: Sat, March 14, 2026, from 8:30AM to 12:30PM, with a rain date of Sun, March 15.

Participants will meet at Heuser Park (694 W. Beidler Rd, KOP) Composting Site.

Bring loppers, hand saws, and drinking water, wear work gloves, sturdy boots or shoes.
