Dickens of a Time Overnight Experience
During the Month of December
Important Note: In December all overnight rooms will not be available to book through our reservation service. To book a December room, you need to visit our Calendar page and purchase your room in advance. All rooms in December on the reservation page will show not available, but they are through our Calendar page.
During the month of December, Belle Grove’s Historic Mansion will be fully decorated for the holiday season and is guaranteed to get you into the holiday spirit.
Each year, we will close Belle Grove for one week starting the Monday after Thanksgiving. During this time, some amazing people come and decorate one room in keeping with our theme for the year. This year’s theme is “A Biltmore Christmas”. Most of these people have spent the year before planning their holiday wonderlands. We reopen on the first Saturday to the public. Each person that visits Belle Grove is invited to tour the mansion and vote for their favorite room. The top three rooms receive prizes.
This year, we are offering an all-inclusive overnight experience that is sure to get you and your family into the holiday spirit. Arrive early and enjoy our “Dickens Period” staff as they serve you a cup of holiday cheer.
With this special overnight experience, you will receive the following:
• Early Arrival at 1pm for a Victorian Holiday Afternoon Tea for two at 1pm
• A Historic Holiday Mansion Tour
• Four Course Dickens Christmas Carol Dinner at 6pm for two
• After dinner, we will end the evening in the parlor with Victorian Carolers.
• Breakfast served at 9am
This experience is only available December 2025. We are sorry, but we are not able to serve dinner or breakfast in your room or on the balcony during December. Dinner is a pre-fix meal for December. Dietary concerns may be requested. Our normal dinner menu is not available in December.

Christmas Salad with Baby Salad Mix, Pecans, Parmesan, Dried Cherries and Balsamic Vinaigrette.
3rd Course
Roasted Stuffed Cornish Hens with Mash Potatoes and Gravy and Roasted Brussel Sprouts
4th Course
Christmas Rum Cake
Afternoon Tea, Dinner, and Breakfast Menu
For our afternoon tea, we are not able to accommodate dairy-free, sugar-free, or gluten-free options. For the afternoon tea, you will receive two different flavored scones, three different tea sandwiches and three petite desserts with a pot of tea per person.
For breakfast, we provide a full gourmet breakfast, but don’t reveal the menu as a surprise for breakfast. We do take in account any dietary concerns for breakfast. Please make sure when your second confirmation email comes you answer all questions as we can prepare for your stay.
