- **Event Description**: Anzac Day is a National Day of Remembrance in Australia, New Zealand and Tonga that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations and the contribution and suffering of all those who have served.  On Anzac Day 2026 we reflect on 110 years since the Gallipoli campaign.

You are invited to join with the Kin Kin community in paying their respects on Friday 25 April 2026 at the Butter Factory Park, Main Street, Kin Kin. Please bring a plate of food to share.
Anyone wishing to march in the Parade please to Old
Whapunga Road outside the Kin Kin Hotel where the

Parade forms up.

The Parade will step off at 10.00am sharp, proceeding
up Main Street and around the Kin Kin School of Arts Hall
roundabout to join the community gathered in Main Park
(Butter Factory Park) for the Commemorative service.
After the service please stay for the free morning tea and sausage sizzle.

Timing: Commences at 10am with a Street Parade and service runs for approximately 30mins.

Parade up Main Street to Butter Factory Park.  
Welcome speech and Commemorative address by Tom Grady 
Anzac Day Poem recited by Allan Bonsall 
Tribute for local WW2 veteran Henry Triechel 
Kin Kin State School Captains Indiana Cairns-Smith-Barth and  
Eszter Csabi read the names of servicemen and women from 
the Honour Plaque. 
Laying of wreaths - Tom Grady invites the public to lay wreaths. 
Ode of Remembrance recited by Allan Tappendan  
They went with songs to the battle, they were young, 
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow, 
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted; 
They fell with their faces to the foe, 
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; 
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. 
At the going down of the sun and in the morning 
We will remember them.
