These gift-filled shoeboxes will contribute to the project’s global goal of reaching more than 12.8 million children in Jesus’ Name.The Mid-TX West Area Operation Christmas Child Team will host a kick-off event on Saturday, September 26th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Covenant Life Church located at 4001 E Elms Road in Killeen, 76542.  Volunteers hope to encourage and equip individuals, families, groups and churches to plan and prepare for the national shoebox gift collections during the National Collection Week.   Special guest, Cathy Scribner will share about her vision trip to Trinidad. Scribner had a rare, firsthand opportunity to deliver shoebox gifts alongside the local ministry partners in Trinidad and share the love of Jesus Christ to children in need.
