We are excited to announce our 3rd annual, Chasing Rainbows 5K, a charity race that brings awareness to Pregnancy, Infant, and Child Loss Awareness Month, and directly supports those who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a loved one. This event is a celebration of resilience, compassion, solidarity, and to remember all those who left us far too soon. We will come together on October 19, 2025 to honor and remember. Beyond extending a comforting hand to those who grieve, we're also proud to champion the Chasing Rainbows Foundation and the Conquering CHD organization.
We are honored to dedicate this year's race to Chase James Brewer, who left this world at just 9 months old, in June 2025 from complications of Congenital Heart Disease. The proceeds raised from this race will go directly towards grief counseling for OBX families and research towards Congenital Heart Disease. The Chasing Rainbows Foundation offers support to mothers and families affected by pregnancy and infant loss by providing education, teaching self-advocacy skills, helping families cope with loss and giving hope for subsequent pregnancies. Conquering CHD promotes federal and state policies to improve quality and outcomes for CHD patients, as well as developing educational resources, and supporting members of the CHD community through every stage of the disease process.
