У цей же день, 28 квітня, після майстер-класу, о 19:00 відбудеться концерт та зустріч з ментором майстер-класу. Під час зустрічі відбудеться допрем’єрний показ повнометражного документального фільму «Моя українська рапсодія», який Лукас зняв в Україні під час війни, досліджуючи українську частину своєї ідентичності. Майстер-клас відкритий як для солістів, так і для камерних ансамблів.

Список активних учасників майстер-класу буде оприлюднений, а графік занять буде розісланий всім зареєстрованим учасникам за 1-2 дні до майстер-класу.

Майстер-клас проводиться в рамках програми VERE MUSIC ACADEMY.

Лукас Стасевський – фінський віолончеліст та кінорежисер українського походження. Він навчався у Sibelius Academy - University of the Arts Helsinki (Фінляндія) та Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel (Швейцарія) під керівництвом Арто Нораса, Мартті Роусі та Івана Монігетті.

Музикант виступав на найпрестижніших музичних фестивалях Фінляндії – у Naantali Music Festival, Turku Music Festival, Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival та Mikkeli Music Festival. У 2011 році він здобув IV премію на Witold Lutosławski International Competition, а у 2013 році – премію Пендерецького на International Paulo Cello Competition. Він також працював як резидент-камераліст у Lincoln Center в Нью-Йорку.

Як культурний діяч він відомий насамперед як засновник і художній керівник Game Music Collective – першого в Європі професійного оркестру ігрової музики.

У 2021 році Лукас переїхав до України, щоб досліджувати українську частину своєї ідентичності та навчатися на кінорежисера. Після початку повномасштабного вторгнення він залишився в країні та розпочав зйомки свого повнометражного дебютного документального фільму My Ukrainian Rhapsody. З початку війни він виступає з концертами для військових та цивільних у різних регіонах України.

Разом зі своїм братом, піаністом та журналістом Юстасом Стасевським та сестрою, диригенткою Далею Стасевською у 2025 році музикант отримав фінську почесну нагороду «Європеєць року у Фінляндії» за культурну діяльність на підтримку України.

VERE MUSIC ACADEMY – постійно діюча програма майстер-класів від VERE MUSIC FUND, які проводяться в Україні. Вона відкриває українським виконавцям доступ до найкращих освітніх практик через майстер-класи відомих професорів з різних країн та українських музикантів, які вже отримали визнання у світі.

VERE MUSIC HUB – це мистецька екосистема – простір для молодих музикантів та слухачів, створений фондом VERE MUSIC FUND. Він об’єднує верхній зал на 100 місць – для концертів, записів, майстер-класів, лекцій тощо, а також нижній репетиційний зал. Його адреса – Київ, вулиця Малопідвальна, 21/8.

VERE MUSIC FUND – благодійний фонд, заснований у 2017 році Тетяною Веревською. Фонд надає українським музикантам гранти для участі у міжнародних конкурсах та майстер-класах, підтримує міжнародні музичні конкурси в Україні, а також реалізує фестивальні проєкти та освітні ініціативи.

Master-class with Lukas Stasevskij (cello, chamber ensemble), Finland

The master class will be held from April 28 in VERE MUSIC HUB (Kyiv, 21/8 Malopidvalna str.). Classes are held without an audience, but students, teachers, and professional musicians are welcome to come and listen to their colleagues.

The Concert and Meet & Greet with Lukas Stasevskij (cello) will take place at VERE MUSIC HUB  (Kyiv, , 21/8 Malopidvalna str.) after the master class. Admission to the event is free with prior registration: https://forms.gle/28PvGaEk4vEMrrfz5.
The event will feature a pre-premiere screening of the feature-length documentary “My Ukrainian Rhapsody”, which Lukas filmed in Ukraine during the war while exploring the Ukrainian part of his identity.

The list of active participants of the master class will be made public, and the schedule of classes will be sent to all registered participants 1-2 days before the master class.

The master class is part of the VERE MUSIC ACADEMY program.

Selection of active participants based on videos. The video must be recorded after April 1, 2025.

Applications can be sent by April 24, 2026, to academy@vere.fund.

The musicians who will take an active part in the master class, as well as the schedule of classes, will be chosen by the mentor. We will announce this information 1-2 days before the master class.

Lukas Stasevskij is a Finnish cellist and film director of Ukrainian descent. He studied at the Sibelius Academy – University of the Arts Helsinki (Finland) and the Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel (Switzerland) under the guidance of Arto Noras, Martti Rousi, and Ivan Monigetti.

The musician has performed at the most prestigious music festivals in Finland – the Naantali Music Festival, the Turku Music Festival, the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, and the Mikkeli Music Festival. In 2011, he won the fourth prize at the Witold Lutosławski International Competition, and in 2013, he won the Penderecki Prize at the International Paulo Cello Competition. He also worked as a resident chamber musician at Lincoln Center in New York.
As a cultural figure, he is best known as the founder and artistic director of the Game Music Collective — Europe’s first professional video game music orchestra.

In 2021, Lukas moved to Ukraine to explore the Ukrainian part of his identity and study film directing. After the full-scale invasion began, he remained in the country and began filming his debut feature-length documentary “My Ukrainian Rhapsody”. Since the start of the war, he has been performing concerts for military personnel and civilians in various regions of Ukraine.

Together with his brother, pianist and journalist Justas Stasevskij, and his sister, conductor Dalia Stasevska, the musician received the Finnish honorary award “European of the Year in Finland” in 2025 for his cultural activities in support of Ukraine.

VERE MUSIC ACADEMY is an ongoing program of master classes by VERE MUSIC FUND. It offers Ukrainian performers access to the best educational practices, for which they used to have to spend a lot of time, effort, and money. But now it is possible to attend master classes by world-renowned teachers and musicians without leaving Ukraine – absolutely free of charge.

VERE MUSIC FUND is a charitable fund established in 2017 by Tetiana Verevska. The Fund provides grants to Ukrainian musicians to participate in international competitions and master classes, and implements festival projects and educational initiatives. It also supports international music competitions in Ukraine.
