BACKGROUND INFORMATION: PROA WI Chapter 2 was founded June 28, 2022, by Tommy Knapp and Jenny Matte, both residents of Manitowoc County. We started this nonprofit organization in memory of two people - Dustin J Knapp, US Army Afghanistan Veteran (Tommy's son, who was killed August 16, 2010) and Dennis J Murphy, US Navy Vietnam Veteran (Jenny's Step-Dad, who passed away November 16, 2021) to honor our heroes in their memory and to help their brothers and sisters who are in need of support financially, physically and emotionally. We host many events throughout the year, and some events are dedicated to certain Veteran Service Organizations and other events are used to replenish certain accounts for many different programs and services we offer for our Active Military and Veterans.
