Welcome to Orienteering - Free event

Run by our friends at City of Birmingham and Harlequin Orienteering this free event is a great way to learn about or gain more confidence in orienteering skills.

Events will include

1-mile race-style orienteering course with our temporary markers at 20 checkpoints and electronic timing

Three courses using the new posts, either writing the checkpoint codes down or using the MapRun app.

There will be helpers on hand throughout the event to guide you in 'how to' until you feel confident in tacking one of the courses. Compasses, dibbers and electronic timers will be available to borrow so no equipment needed just yourselves!

This event is suitable for all ages (6+) but children will need to accompanied by adults.

Registration will open at 10.30am and close at 2.30pm. parking charges apply onsite and all site information can be found at :
