Windmill Beach is one of the most popular places for snorkelling in Cape Town and is located in the western part of False Bay, next to the famous Boulders Beach and its colony of South African penguins. It's a good place for both experienced snorkelers and people who are new to it. The entire area of the bay is filled with marine life, including seastars, urchins, and brittlestars, as well as octopus, cuttlefish, otters, seals, and penguins. The varied topography and diverse ecology of this site make it an interesting place to snorkel or free dive, regardless of how many times you have done so before. ######################### ABOUT WINDMILL BEACH ######################### The beach is often used as a scuba diving training site, as it offers easy entry and exit points, good visibility, and minimal wave action.
