Southernmost Slow Ride is hosting CRANKSGIVING KEY WEST!
Cranksgiving is a food drive on two wheels. Part bike ride, part madcap scavenger hunt. All you need is a bicycle, a lock, and a bag!
This event is FREE, but you'll need $15-$20 to purchase donations, but please feel free to spend MORE!
How does it work?
Show up at Dive Bar Shirt Club on your bike for check-in starting at 10:00am. Ride starts at 11:00am.
At check-in, you will receive a manifest with a list of items approved for donation. You will need to purchase at least one item from each required location on your manifest. Make sure you have a backpack, bag, panniers, trailer or basket to carry your items. The fun is in the planning of your route, collecting the items, and seeing who is the fastest and brings in the most bounty. You can ride as an individual or with a group. When the start bell rings, off you go!
Prizes will be handed out to individuals and groups for BEST TIME, MOST GENEROUS (heaviest haul), and BEST COSTUME.
We encourage using reusable shopping bags! All prize winners must make a purchase at all required locations and provide receipts. Ebikes do not qualify for the "Fastest Award", but can qualify for the “Most Generous” and “Best Costume”.
Each individual or group will be checked in as they return, the donations will be weighed, and receipts verified.
Winners will be announced once all riders have returned.
