About the event

Virtual Lesson: Shark Biology & Conservation (Afternoon)
As part of our Marine Science for All Initiative, Reef Relief offers free virtual marine science lessons held via zoom to the public several times each month throughout the school year.

Sharks are apex predators and provide a critical role for the health of our marine ecosystems, and are responsible for preventing overpopulation and disease among various species. Unfortunately, sharks have received a bad reputation, and the world shark population is decreasing at an alarming rate.

Lesson includes: what is a shark, diversity of sharks, shark senses and features, threats to sharks, how we can help them.
