When this event was first planned, it was to support Kristin and Josh as they prepared for Kristin’s long-awaited heart transplant, which they anticipated in January. However, on Tuesday, November 18, the call they had been praying for finally came— a heart was available. They rushed to Vanderbilt Hospital in Tennessee, where Kristin underwent the transplant on Wednesday, November 19.
Sadly, unexpected complications arose during surgery. Kristin fought bravely for 48 hours, but despite her strength, her body could not continue the fight. On Friday, November 21, Kristin was called home to heaven.
As we navigate through our grief and ask “why Kristin?”, we remember her incredible spirit—a kind, young woman full of love, faith, and adventure. Kristin and Josh’s unwavering belief in God provides us comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, in paradise, fulfilling a greater mission beyond this world.
Now, we invite you to join us in honoring Kristin’s life. This event is a celebration of her, where we will share stories, memories, and love. We will come together to surround Josh with our support during this difficult time. Funds raised will first help cover Kristin’s medical expenses, and any remaining funds will be donated to an organization supporting organ donation, honoring Kristin’s journey and the gift of life she received and so deeply valued.
