Kia Went is a poet & writer whose work explores motherhood, matrescence, & feminist resistance through visceral, confessional imagery.  Kia’s work centres the female body as a site of transformation, conflict, & reclamation. She is currently developing Motherwound, a poetry collection examining the psychological & cultural complexities of motherhood. 

Co-founder of Rhymes on the Rocks Kia creates spaces for neurodivergent women to explore & develop their writing.

Kia has been published by Beyond the Spectrum, Der Stimmen, FONDS & Poetic Edge & has been shortlisted for the Milton Keynes Literary Festival poetry prize twice.
