- **Event Description**: Team Tortoise shows that you don’t always have to do things the way everyone else does. Today we start on the eastern side of the Fairfield Horseshoe taking in Low Pike and High Pike. We then have the option to take in Dove Crag and Little Hart Crag before descending to Scandale Pass for the quieter journey down, alongside Scandale Beck back to Ambleside.

Sometimes doing big walks all in one go can be daunting and something you want to build up to, or something you just think - well why would you?! This distance and elevation for this walk are a maximum and there are options to reduce these if the group all agree. Feel free to let me know your preference when you enquire. Whatever happens as with any walk we will all stay together at all times.

Level 2, some walking experience needed

Approx 14.2km, 800m of height gain. good paths with some rougher sections.. Wainwright count 4.
