Learn how the rocks beneath our feet to tell the story of our geological historyAbout this EventYou are invited to join a peer-led walk, hosted by BMC Lakes Area volunteer, Richard Langthorp. This walk will explore the geology of the impressive Glenderaterra Valley and one of its tributaries (Sinen Gill), returning to the starting point along the same route we went out. Learn how ancient mudstones, siltstones and sandstones, previously caught up in an ancient mountain building event, were altered and hardened locally by the intrusion of granite.
