This workshop dives into the fabric of touch at the heart of Contact Improvisation and our relational practices in movement and life. Beginning within ourselves, we move outward into fluid communication, exploring how touch shapes the flow of movement and connection. 
Creative, thoughtful, heart based, skill based, our learning will be anchored in the core principles of Contact Improvisation, such as: how to move weight like water – actions of cascading. The details of touching within weight exchange. The rising and hanging of the body – each mode significant to communication. How attention lives in the very small. Extending to form surfaces that arc. Learning to trust the physicality of our extended intelligence that underlies reflexive action.

This workshop is for dancers beyond the beginning level.

€ 330 ( standard fee) 
€ 350 ( folks who are supporting this work, and the community who would access it at a lower cost) 
€ 290 ( artists, pedagogues and students with unstable economical resources or other folks who require support from the community to attend this workshop)

ABOUT NITA
Nita Little is a founding developer of Contact Improvisation and has been teaching and researching for over 50 years.
Her work focuses on embodied attention, relational intelligence, and ensemble practices.
She holds a PhD in Performance Studies and is the director of the Institute for the Study of Somatic Communication (ISSC).
She teaches and works internationally.
