Their emotional safety is every bit as important as that of their physical safety. Our energy, intentions, body language, tone of voice, pace of speech, posture, eye contact . . these are just some of the components of "dialogue" that a horse is reading and responding to. Horses are 100% honest with their emotions and vulnerabilities and offer immediate feedback, without judgement. Feedback is real and in real-time. In order to collaborate with a horse you'll need your state-of-mind, your awareness, humility (and confidence), your vision (and flexibility), your boundaries (and empathy), your courage, assertiveness, and understanding.
