- **Event Description**: If you have previously completed the Beginner Hiking for Fitness series, or can hike a little more than 4 miles with at least 1,000 ft of elevation, this series is for you! Join us in this 8-week program, where the leaders will guide you on a series of weekly hikes with the challenge increasing each week. The group’s final hike aims for Bald Mountain, where hikers can enjoy the stunning vistas from one of the tallest peaks in Sonoma County.

Wear appropriate footwear for rocky or slippery trails and layers, as the group hikes in light rains. Bring at least a quart of water, and if desired, a snack. Limited to 30 participants.

The hiking series costs $80, or free-of-cost for hikers with a January 2026 Park Rx from a participating Sonoma County Medical Provider. Visit https://sugarloafpark.org/activities/parks-rx-program/for Park Rx info.
The number of Park Rx tickets is limited. To sign up with a Park Rx, please email a PDF of your Rx to alma@sonomaecologycenter.org
