We invite you to gather in a beautiful, communal setting as we care for body, minds and hearts within the shared container of retreat. Join us to slow down, meditate, and create a collective field of awareness to rediscover the peace that the practice of presence offers us.

Whatever is true for you – with what is happening in your life and in the world – we invite you to come as you are. Everyone is welcome.
Through guided meditation, silence, gentle movement, teachings, and group reflection, we will rest our minds, restore our bodies, and revive the deep wisdom of our hearts together. 

Alicia Patrice and Adam Moskowitz are grateful to co-lead this retreat, with inspiration from many teachers, wisdom paths and communities.

Where: Hobbs Hall at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Kent, 217 N. Mantua St. Kent, Ohio 44240
(Hobbs Hall is located in the building behind the historic church and has solar panels on the roof.)

When: Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm

Who: All are welcome. 

Cost: $60 scholarship | $90 sustainable | $120 supportive	No one turned away for lack of funds, and your generosity helps make this possible. If you need additional financial options, please reach out. Members of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Kent are invited to register with a $30 discount. 

Lunch add-on for $15 - a nourishing build-your-own quinoa/rice bowl with local and seasonal ingredients prepared by our friends at the Three Sisters Cafe in Ashtabula. 		
					
Additional Information:
Please plan to stay for the entire day.
Arrive early to settle in and start on time, doors open at 9:00am. There will be cushions and chairs available. There is a patio behind the hall for outdoor breaks. Hot water, tea and vegan/gluten-free snacks will be available.
Please plan to fully disconnect from email, texting, and phone calls during our time together. The retreat will include periods of silence and group reflection. 

Please bring:
-Meditation cushion if you have one (some will be provided)
-Layers for comfort indoor and outside (if you choose to do walking practice outdoors)
-Closed water bottle
-Journal & pen
-Any additional items to support you in being comfortable in your seat
-Lunch if you choose to bring your own		
					
About the facilitators:	
Alicia Patrice
Alicia teaches Yoga with kindness, gentleness and humor. She specializes in slower moving, contemplative practices, often infused with sound. In addition to Yoga, she leads Sound Bath Meditation and Dances of Universal Peace.

Adam Moskowitz
