Kent Oktoberfest features Polka, Dancing, Steinholding Competitions, Seasonal Beverages, and German Food!
The event will take place on Franklin Ave., from Erie St. to Main St., including a section of W. Main St. and the Hometown Bank Plaza. Beer trucks will feature Spaten Oktoberfest and a variety of other seasonal beverages, including a cider option. Local eateries will be set up on the street, selling specially-prepared German fare and other local treats. Guests are asked to bring proper identification. Cash and credit cards will be accepted. No pets are permitted, per city ordinance; service animals are welcome.

The schedule for the day is as follows: Gemütlichkeit Cleveländer Musikanten will perform from 12:30pm - 3:00pm; the German Family Society Youth Group dancers will showcase a variety of dances at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm; then two local bands will take the stage, including the The Rhondas at 3:30pm and City of Invention at 6:00pm — a fun, festive variety of music!
“Unofficial” stein-holding competitions will take place at 3pm and 5:30pm. Ten people will compete at each time, males against males and females against females. (21+ only.) Judges will be Carri and Steve Sensius from the German Family Society! Sign up at:
