The City of Kenora’s Economic Development and Tourism Department is excited to host two professional development events on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, designed to support Kenora’s business community with clear, real-world Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. Avery Swartz, AI educator and best-selling author, will deliver a practical keynote on AI opportunities and ethics, followed by a hands-on workshop to help entrepreneurs save time, enhance customer experiences, and drive smarter growth.

In this empowering and practical keynote, Avery Swartz delivers a clear-eyed, practical look at what AI means for your work today and how to prepare for what comes next. This keynote takes the hype out of AI, explains what generative AI actually is, and guides attendees through ethical considerations, bias, privacy, and copyright concerns. In this three-hour, hands-on session, small-business owners gain practical AI capabilities for everyday tasks. Note: This is a BYOL (bring-your-own-laptop) workshop. Bring your laptop or tablet, plus its power cord. Also, please sign up for a free ChatGPT or Google Gemini account before the workshop.
