~Winter Mala 108 Meditation+SoundBath ~
The Winter Solstice is a magical time when we can celebrate the long hours of darkness and the silence before the rebirth of the sun in Spring.
In yoga, we celebrate this change of season with a 108 practice. The number 108 is a representation of spiritual completion. It is viewed as a number of wholeness and used in meditation and prayer throughout many cultures.
At our Winter Mala 108 Meditation + SoundBath event we want to offer you a way of setting intentions for the new Winter season and honoring your highest Self through a powerful 108 Mala meditation practice.
What to expect at this event:
- A gifted Mala necklace for you to keep, cherish and use during our meditation and soundbath.
- An intention setting ceremony to help us honor and manifest our deepest wishes for the Winter season. Where you will learn how to use your Mala necklace
- Gentle movement to prepare the body, followed by a guided 108 Sama Vritti pranayama practice to help you seal in your intention. Sama Vritti pranayama translates to equal fluctuation of breath or box breath. Why 108 Equal breaths? In the yogic tradition its believed that your breath holds the power of life, and when combined with your intentions and repeated 108 times the Universe is said to echo your intention back to you in the form of manifestation.
- Plus you'll be guided through a meditation created to help you let go of Autumn and welcome Winter!
All to the sounds of Singing bowls!
Planning to attend?? Bring a water bottle, yoga mat and any extra blankets or pillows for added comfort. Dress in lightweight comfortable clothing.
