Summer Solstice is a magical time. In the Northern hemisphere, it marks the first day of Summer and the longest day of the year. It’s a celebration of the Sun and the bounty it brings. It’s a perfect day to reconnect with life’s divine plan and to feel a deep connection to Self, Source and the natural world. Reflecting on your journey and honoring your intentions is a wonderful way to commemorate the Summer Solstice.
 
In yoga, the number 108 is a representation of spiritual completion. It is viewed as a number of the wholeness and used in meditation and prayer throughout many cultures. This number also connects the Sun, Moon, and Earth: The average distance of the Sun and the Moon to Earth is 108 times their respective diameters. At our Summer Mala 108 Meditation event we want to offer you a way of setting intentions for the new Summer season and honoring your highest Self through a powerful 108 Mala practice.
 
What to expect at this event:
- A gifted Mala necklace for you to keep and cherish ?
- An intention setting ceremony to help us honor and manifest our deepest wishes for the Summer season.
- A gentle 15-20 min yoga practice, mixed within a guided 108 Apa Japa Meditation and Sama Vritti pranayama practice to help you seal in your intention. Apa Japa translates to repetitive awareness and Sama Vritti pranayama translates to equal fluctuation of breath or box breath.
 
All to the sounds of Singing bowls and drums!
 
Planning to attend?? Bring a water bottle, yoga mat and any extra blankets or pillows for added comfort. Dress in lightweight comfortable clothing.
 
We can’t wait to welcome in the new season through contemplation and breath with all of you!

Donation Based Event ~ Suggested Donation $5 or give what you can if you can. No one will be turned away due to lack of payment. Your donations go to support the studio and its teachers so we can continue to provide yoga as freely as possible.
