Pottery Workshop: Make a Yule Log Candle Holder

Create a beautiful clay Yule Log Candle Holder— In this hands-on workshop, you’ll shape and texture your log, then return to glaze it in your choice of rich, earthy tones. Once fired, your piece will be ready to bring a cozy glow to your holiday hearth.s The Yule log tradition has ancient roots in pre-Christian, Germanic, and Scandinavian pagan rituals celebrating the winter solstice, the longest night of the year. A large, carefully selected log (often oak, ash, or birch, depending on the region) would be brought into the home and burned on the hearth. The practice was meant to celebrate the return of the sun and the lengthening of days, symbolizing warmth, light, and good fortune for the coming year. $45 all inclusive. This is for TWO visits: one to build, return a week or so later to glaze.
