The rectory on site was built in 1891 as a private home for the Nesmith family of Lowell, MA and was purchased in 1910 by Arthur Atwater Kent, the noted inventor. In 1970 a loan from the G.H. Walker Foundation made it possible for the church to purchase both the home and the property.Visitors are asked to wear shirts and shoes and refrain from smoking. You are welcome to picnic and we ask that you help maintain the property by taking all refuse with you. We welcome your well-behaved and leashed pets. Please be sure to take with you any “deposits” your pet might make on the grounds.
