River Tree Arts, in partnership with Way to Be Yoga, invites tweens to join our weekly Mindful Arts Afterschool Program—a two-hour class designed to nurture creativity, self-awareness, and personal growth in a supportive community. Piloted during our summer camps, this program blends mindfulness practices with creative projects, giving students valuable tools to navigate life’s transitions with confidence and curiosity.
Each session includes a balance of relaxation, reflection, and hands-on creativity. Students will enjoy activities such as:
-“I Am” Projects – exploring identity and self-expression with different materials & goals
-Breathing Beads – crafting tools to support calm and focus
-5-Minute Mindful Breaks – quick resets for the mind and body
-Mindful Snacking – savoring textures, flavors, and sensations
-Journaling & Goal-Setting – building habits of reflection and intention
-Short Meditations – encouraging clarity and resilience
-Gentle Yoga Practices – supporting health and wellness
Tweens will walk away each week with new skills, creative projects, and a stronger sense of connection to themselves and others.
