- **Event Description**: Summer is a well-known time to travel and explore the area around you and beyond! Visit the Tobacco Farm Life Museum to see the traveling exhibit "Navigating Jim Crow: The Green Book and Oasis Spaces in North Carolina."

On loan from the North Carolina African American Heritage Commission, this exhibit explores the complex network of businesses and sites highlighted in Motorist Green Books that allowed African American communities to thrive, and that created “oasis spaces” for a variety of African American travelers in North Carolina from 1933 to 1966.

Join us on the opening of the exhibit to explore the panels and participate in hands-on activities.

Located in the main gallery space, this exhibit runs from Saturday, May 9th to Saturday, July 31st.  There is no fee to view the exhibit.
