Join us for a fabulous cookery session with professional caterers Miss Ellie's of Coventry.About this EventProject Joy returns with four new sessions: poetry, art and craft, music and cookery. All sessions are suitable for all ages.This cookery session is the final of the four new sessions, all taking place on consecutive Saturdays. You are welcome to drop in any time between 10:30am and midday to tale part in some beautiful food themed creating. Featuring professional caterer and workshop facilitator, Miss Ellie's of Coventry. With four activities everyone is able and welcome to take part from adults to pre-schoolers. Rainbow Skewers/Pots of JoyA selection of colourful fruit is presented to the children with the option to either fill a cup in layers to create a rainbow or thread onto skewers to create a rainbow. Pictures of rainbows and colouring sheets available also. Pre schoolers welcome (with parental/carer supervision, children must not be left unsupervised: Edible Leaf Biscuits:Add your beautifully decorated biscuit to our edible tree that will ‘grow’ throughout the session. Aprons provided. No more than 4 people working at a time on the table so that resources can be shared. Cake Creation A flat iced cake will be available for participants to decorate, similarly to the tree of joy this is another activity that people can collectively engage with and share at the end of the activity. Participants can create fondant decorations and there will be edible words that they can place on the cake, these words will be taken from previous activities so they provide a link to the rest of the week. There will be some example models made to help give people a bit of inspiration. Ideal for adults or older children. There will also be an area for our younger attendees to explore and play. Refreshments included. Those who attend this session will be invited to join us for the celebratory meal which will follow on directly from this workshop. Your food creations will be feeding you and our guests! Meet the Artist:Miss Ellie's of Coventry offers plant-based and vegetarian event catering with sustainability at its core. Established in 2012, Ellie provides a personalised service from her home kitchen, ensuring high standards for every occasion. With award-winning recipes, she caters to various dietary needs, including vegan, vegetarian, religious, and medical requirements. Clients include Coventry Cathedral, BBC, and Warwick University.
