MidCon is the longest-established annual board games convention in the UK, having started in the mid-to-late seventies.

Traditionally, it takes place on the first or second weekend of November (in Derby, currently) but last year we decided to try a summer version in Kenilworth. Everyone seemed to have a spiffing time, so we are doing it again. The emphasis is very much on open gaming, rather than shopping/quizzes/seminars, and all are welcome.

You don't have to be resident in the hotel to attend the con. The registration cost is £30 for the whole weekend, but if you don't want to do a full stretch then you can pay £10 for Friday, £15 for Saturday or £15 for Sunday.
