A key focus will also be their conservation biology, looking at how the anthropogenic pressures on the species are being addressed, from incorporating colonies during development work at individual roosts to landscape scale conservation initiatives.About Henry Schofield:Henry joined Vincent Wildlife Trust (VWT) in 1990, researching the conservation biology of lesser horseshoe bats. He set up the first of VWT’s lesser horseshoe bat reserves, focusing on providing evidence-led conservation interventions to enhance the roosts for their resident bat populations. Although horseshoe bat conservation has been a lifelong passion for Henry, along the way, he has also worked on rare tree bats and small carnivores. Recently retired from VWT, Henry is still active in bat conservation and is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Sussex, carrying out conservation-directed bat research on a range of European species.This event is also available on Zoom.
