?Winston Park Greenway

For years, many Winston Park homeowners have told us how disappointed they are with how few trick-or-treaters come to their door on Halloween night. This year, the HOA is changing that! We’re bringing all the trick-or-treaters and all the candy together in one place for a night of community fun and Halloween magic ?

Brand new this year, Scream on the Green will transform the Greenway into a trick-or-treat trail that is closed to traffic for a safe, family-friendly night under the stars. ✨ The Greenway will already be glowing with spooky spirit thanks to our “Haunt Your House” decorating contest, so it will be the perfect Halloween backdrop for trick-or-treaters. All we need is you!

Neighbors from all over Winston Park are invited to set up along the path tailgate-style, just without the car! Bring a table, some chairs, plenty of candy for the kids, and enjoy the night among friends.

Our favorite neighborhood police officers ? (affectionately known as Batman and Robin) will be on each end of the Greenway, keeping it well-lit and safe. And neighborhood volunteers will be providing the soundtrack for the evening ? along with a first aid station ?

Arrive early to grab a prime spot along the path and set up your trick-or-treat station. Some neighbors are keeping it simple, bringing just a chair and a bag of candy. Others are going all out with tents, lights, decorations, themed tables, and games like corn hole. The sky’s the limit, so get creative and help make this Halloween a night to remember!

A few safety reminders:
⚠️ No motorized vehicles, bikes, or scooters will be allowed on the Greenway that evening, but strollers and wagons are fine.
⚠️ Decorate with only battery operated or chargeable lights. No open flames!
⚠️ Feel free to bring a cooler with drinks, but no glass bottles on the Greenway.
⚠️ Temporary trash bins will be set up along the Greenway path. Please help us keep the area clean and the walkway clear.
⚠️ Bring a flashlight or lantern if you’d like some extra visibility.

The Community Action Network is hosting a “Monster Cleanup” ? on Saturday, November 1 to help get the Greenway back in shape after all the Halloween fun!

Let’s bring the magic of Halloween night back to Winston Park, right where it belongs! ?
