The 2026 Straight Talk topic is “Raising the AI Generation: From Homework Help to Unforeseen Risks- What Every Family Should Know.”

As a Council, we will stream the Texas PTA expert panel together and then shift into a local discussion focused on how this use of AI relates to our students, families, and schools.

This is an excellent opportunity to 

Learn how artificial intelligence is already influencing learning and student experiences.

Hear balanced perspectives from experts across education, technology, health, and industry sectors. 

Participate in respectful, fact-based discussions with fellow parents, educators, and community members. 

After the panel discussion from Texas PTA, Cherie Moeller KCPTA Advocacy Chair will be leading a discussion with Jennifer Price, KISD Chief Academic Officer.
