Recruit/Recruit/recruit - HS/JV;
When you are recruiting your friends see below for team needs. We need ALL Body types.
Forwards:
Props – generally larger individuals – Football Linemen, Heavyweight wrestlers
Hookers – Linemen, usually a little faster than the props
Locks – Usually tall, would be nice to have a couple 6’ 3” or taller guys
Flankers – Usually linebackers or strong safeties. Love to tackle, non-stop motor, fittest guys on the team.
#8 – Usually lock size but, more mobile and better on defense and with the ball in hand.
Backs:
#9-scrumhalf – size doesn’t matter but, must be very good with the ball and communication with the Forwards and Backs
#10-flyhalf – usually a team leader with good ball handling, decision making and kicking skills. Needs to be able to direct the backs and sometimes forwards while under pressure.
#11 & #14-wings – usually your fastest guys on the team(wide receivers/db’s). Good hands and ability to finish and tackle in open field.
#12 & #13-centers – almost interchangeable with flankers but more like running backs. Must be able to tackle one on one and be a threat when on attack. #12 is usually a bit bigger and #13 is usually a little faster

•	Rugby has 8 subs during a match. Usually a complete front row(3) and then a mix of multi positional guys(2 forwards, 3 backs) in case of injury.
* The descriptions are just generalizations, we've had 190lb and 315lb props, we've had 220lb. and 170lb Hookers, we even had a 270lb inside center. Athletic ability and Rugby knowledge will dictate where you end up.
