It runs alongside the River Wharfe which is crossed using the Swing Bridge, the Old Bridge and the New Bridge. It is an inclusive event, not a race, and everybody is welcome. Enjoy the fresh air, exercise, the atmosphere, raising money for Alzheimer’s Research UK and wear your T shirt and medal with pride (available in all sizes on the day, including children’s)- you deserve it!The Dementia StoryDementia affects families in every community, and its impact is growing. If nothing changes, one in two people will be directly affected by dementia in their lifetime, either by developing the condition themselves, caring for someone who has it, or both.
