This qualification is for those who wish to coordinate, manage and lead quality forest school sessions with children, young people or adults. Learners investigate how to design and run a successful forest school programme and look at how to approach and apply it safely and effectively. The Level 3 forest school training explores the Forest School Association’s Forest School principles at a higher level, developing learners’ understanding of the natural environment, risk assessment, child development and nature-based learning. This forest school Level 3 course is aimed at individuals who have a minimum Level 2 qualification in related subject or relevant experience in working with children. This course will be delivered in 2 parts: Week 1: 16 – 20 June Week 2: 20-24 October The course will be delivered from the Gatehouse, Cliffe Castle Park and use various outdoor spaces around Keighley A limited number of places are available for those who wish to undertake the Level 2 Award for Forest School Assistants. This will involve undertaking the first week of the course in June only, and completing a reduced number of assignments. This is a Kindling Training course regulated by ITC Awards and delivered by Get Out More CIC Fees: The Level 3 course fee is £900 per person to be paid in advance. Level 2 course is £500 per person. Eligible* adults who have qualified for a funded place, need to have the access code to book their free/subsidised place.
