MoCo Arts is offering tech theatre workshops this fall! Open to middle and high school students, these workshops aim to introduce students to stagecraft. Students who participate in these workshops will have the option of being technical assistants with our fall season of shows.
Can’t come to all five? Drop-ins are welcome!
If you are a part of a tech workshop for a show, you are not required to work backstage for that show.
For each show this year, our Stage Manager and Props Designer, Mikey, will be leading and teaching skills such as:
*designing/sketching props
*prop construction
*painting props
*stage management documentation and paperwork
*props tables
*spike tape etiquette
*how to be a stage manager
*…and more!
Mikey would be ecstatic to find students from each workshop who could help with crew needs for each production. These workshops aim to achieve the design needs of the shows, provide technical theatre education to our students, apply creativity, create a strong program/crew of technicians, and have fun!
