- **Event Description**: Learn Chain Saw Milling in this follow up class to our Intro to Chain Saws and Tree Felling. Through this level 2 class, students will be introduced a variety of Chain Saw Milling options with an emphasis on safety. 

Chainsaw mills are portable devices that attach to a chainsaw, turning it into a makeshift sawmill to cut logs into custom lumber like beams, planks, and slabs for building, furniture, or unique woodworking projects. They provide a low-cost, on-site solution for processing felled trees into usable dimensional wood.

Students must have taken our Intro to Chain Saws Class, or have demonstrated ability in working with Chain Saws.  No one under 18 admitted. 

Students must be dressed accordingly including wearing sturdy hiking boots.  Safety gear is provided however students are welcome to bring their own Kevlar chaps, fitted gloves, safety glasses, face shield and hard hat.  Students do not need to have their own chain saw – we will have a variety on hand for students to try, however if students are welcome to bring their own if they would like to get more comfortable with their own personal saw.
