Dodge Up the Clinton Inaugural

Race is approx. 6 miles round trip.

Racers stage on Dog Friendly Section of beach in wave order. First wave starts with boat stern touching grass next to beach. Racers enter water and paddle to the west, close to the Observation pier. From this point a Yellow Tetra buoy is visible. Racers must stay to right of all buoys going out. There is another yellow tetra marking the turn North to a final Tetra buoy marking the mouth of the Clinton River. Paddle upstream on the Clinton (Warning there is a bridge shortly after entering the river, do not go under it… turn right to go upstream). The only bridge on the route is Cooley Lake Rd, and shortly after there is a small red turn buoy. Enter the turn from the right and turn left to go downstream. Exit the river as you entered keeping all Yellow Tetra buoys now on the left, before sprinting into the beach and under the finish arch for your time.
