- **Event Description**: Designed for ukulele players of all ages who already know a few chords, these events will feature a large variety of music with guest musicians to accompany our ukulele strumming!

Instruction for new ukulele chords beyond C, Am, F, and G. All music and ukulele chord shapes visually projected during class. Bring your own uke or use one of ours!

Guest musician bios:
Bass (May 21 and May 28): Singer-songwriter behind A Tree Within, Junko (Nozawa) plays bass with several bands across the Big Island and publishes Musings on Music, a newsletter featuring local music events, artist interviews, and new releases.

Guitar (May 28): Born and raised on Big Island, Yuma Long (aka Brown Rice) had been playing guitar since age eleven. As a blues guitarist and vocalist, you can catch Yuma closing the Blues Jam every second Sunday at Hilo's Kukuau Studio.

Taught by Melisa Sigh. With twenty-six years of teaching experience, Melissa fosters student growth and joy through music-making, personal connection, and insightful support.
