Brazos Bend Overnighter

RSVP! 7 ppl max (+ shop ride leader). First Come First Served. What is this: A bikepacking weekend in Brazos Bend State Park. Ride Distance: 60 miles each way, mostly paved, 5 miles of gravel. Gear Requirements: well-functioning bike, bikepacking bags, camping gear; there is no need to carry extra water, but need to carry food, including ride food (campsite doesn't sell any food). Fitness Requirements: ability to ride a loaded bike for 60 miles two days in a row (120 miles total) at an average pace 12-14 mph. Experience Requirement: no special bikepacking experience needed; this trip is great for first time bikepacker; must have experience riding in traffic, riding in a group, riding solo, riding for 3-4 hours. There will be a refuel and rest stop half way. Cost: $5-10 for camp food and camp grounds + $10-20 for lunch stop. You can rent our gravel bikes and some (limited) bikepacking bags for this event. We have racks and bags, and bikepack essential gear in the shop for sale, as well.
