Come for Worship, Stay for Burgers
The kids are headed back to school, and we’re marking the moment the best way we know how: burgers, backpacks, and blessings.
Join us on SUNDAY, August 10, for worship at NewChurch—and bring the whole family. During the service, we’ll have a Blessing of the Backpacks (and the kids who wear them) as we pray over the upcoming school year. Because let’s be honest—these kids (and their teachers!) need all the prayer they can get.
After worship, the grill party starts.
We’re firing up the Blackstones in the green space between the church and the road—because who doesn’t love eating hotdogs in a patch of grass next to traffic? There’ll be hamburgers, ice cream, drinks, and a bunch of fun games for kids and adults alike. Pop-up tents for shade. Ice-cold beverages. Good people. Great vibe. Feel free to have fun.
This is an outreach event, which means it’s the perfect opportunity to invite your friends, neighbors, co-workers, estranged uncles, or anyone else who might enjoy a laid-back afternoon of community and good food. We love following Jesus at NewChurch, and we want everyone to know it—and maybe even follow along.
So mark your calendar, bring your appetite, and don’t forget the backpack.
