- **Event Name**: Return of The Gambler 500 Scavenger Hunt

- **Event Description**: This is a game of navigation skill, wit, trickery, and general endurance. You will not know the start point until a month prior to the event, and the midway and end points will not be revealed until the days of travel. You will travel in excess of 500 miles. Route will be determined by you. You will receive a list of instructions at the start point, and the coordinates to the camp locations.

There will be an entry fee that WILL NOT  be profited upon. It will strictly be used to fund the event. I anticipate this to be less than $50 and I am doing my best to keep that as low as possible. The fee will cover supplies for you.

Registration will be mandatory and open as soon as possible. Registration will close March 31st. Registration fee is non-refundable, as it will be spent on items/reservations for you upon receipt.
Pre-registration is encouraged (registering before paying the fee) to give me an idea of how many souls I must be prepared to collect.

This is not a race, but I will not tell you how to live your life. There will be winners and losers, but you won’t know what metrics determine the outcome until the start of the event. This will not be one for the faint of heart. If you’re not familiar with the concept of type 2 fun, you will be after the scavenger hunt. 

When pre-registration opens, a private group will be created with only those who rsvp “going” to be invited. You will then have until the registration closes to officially lock in your spot and pay the registration fee. Once registration closes, those who haven’t locked in their spot will be booted from the group, and the group name and picture will change. This page will disappear, and from that point forward, all event details will be top secret.
