Pikey Peak Trek in the lower section of the Everest region is specially designed for those who love exploring nature, are interested in local culture, and want to enjoy the grand Himalayan panorama, including the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, in a short period of time. This Pikey Peak Trekking is one of the most desirable and exclusive trips we organize every week for both domestic and international tourists.
The trek passes through beautiful Sherpa and Tamang villages, joins the main local trade route, and continues north along a wide open ridge to Jhapre Monastery — the main religious center of the area. The trail offers spectacular mountain views throughout, including a stunning view of Mt. Everest. We continue northeast through beautiful summer pastures and ascend the summit of Pikey Peak (4065m), which provides breathtaking views of Mt. Gaurishankar, Thamserku, Numbur Himal, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, Annapurna, Everest, and many other majestic peaks.
After arriving in Junbesi, we take a day hike to Thupten Chholing Monastery, one of the main religious centers of the entire Everest region and the home of the late Thulsik Rimpoche. He was one of the key religious figures of Buddhism and was in his 31st reincarnation. We then return to Junbesi to rest and enjoy a relaxing day. Early the next morning, drive back to Kathmandu.
