Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation (MAC) wishes to advise that a community funeral for a respected Elder will take place on the same day as our scheduled 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), currently set for Friday 28 November 2025.

MAC acknowledges the cultural and community importance of this event and extends our deepest respect to the families involved.

Under the MAC Rulebook and the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (CATSI Act), the AGM must technically proceed on the date for which notice has already been given. 

However, in recognition of these exceptional circumstances, the Board intends to open the meeting as scheduled and immediately table a formal resolution to postpone the AGM to another date (which will likely be in February 2026).

This approach ensures MAC complies with the requirements of the CATSI Act while also respecting the community’s ability to attend both the funeral and the rescheduled AGM.

Once the new date is confirmed, all Members will receive a written notice advising the updated details.
