About Dr. Anwar:
A Rhodes Scholar from Pakistan, Dr. Sabieh did his M.Phil from the Department of Physics at Oxford University. He currently teaches at LUMS and has a wide range of interests , including but not limited to the link between Islamic history, philosophy, and science. He writes in English and Urdu and is a highly published writer in this regard as well as research in his own fields.
Omicron will be a three day event (February 16th to 18th) spread out across different modules ranging from construction and forensics to robotics and astrology, featuring around 500 students from all across the nation. We aim to bring young scientists together on a platform where they can extend their scientific curiosity in the world of integrated, interdisciplinary sciences. We are proud and fortunate to be in a partnerships with the prestigious New York Academy of Sciences (an academy that was home to some of the greatest scientists like Darwin and Tesla) which will be giving free membership to our winners. We are also honoured to have on board winners of the International Science Olympiad(IMO, IPhO, IChO, IBO) who will be designing our final rounds to help maintain academic integrity and provide international exposure.

The School of Science and Engineering (SSE) at Habib University invites renowned professionals and academics to share their ideas on a wide variety of interesting subjects through its Public Lecture Series. The series aims to enlighten, motivate and stimulate academic debate. Each event is tailored for the general public and encourages participants to think across academic disciplines.
The SSE Public Lecture Series is open and free to attend for the general public. It is hosted at Habib University’s City Campus.
