The performances will be accompany a multimedia presentation of the Soul Force Project.
About the Project:
The Soul Force Project exists as an open source performance vehicle which demonstrates the relevance & practicality of nonviolence today as a universal truth. We hold that the principle of love in action has been demonstrated in a multiplicity of cultures, confirmed by history and is rooted in our diverse religious, ethnic and social identities; if we look for it. To love the 'other' is the highest story of being human, the biggest challenge and the most powerful weapon for peace but it is meaningless if we do not act on it and model it for others. This power affects all aspects of human health, well being and harmony in our collective environment. Using dynamic music, imagery, poetry and other artistic expression this collective artistic work strives to provide a tangible hope for a future of humanity. We come to hope through the inspiration of visionary leaders, the stories of courageous men and women of the past and the present from all corners of the globe. The empowerment of knowledge demonstrates the reality that change is in our own hands and pushes us to take action in resonance with that belief. Soul Force is the power that transforms the violent tragedies of history into a beautifully story of redemption today and this is our story, if we want it.
