Muslim Shaggan, son of Ustad Mazhar Shaggan, hails from an illustrious family of musicians from the Gwalior gharana who have also contributed significantly to the rubabi tradition. Muslim began his training from the age of seven from his grandfather Ustad Ghulam Hassan Shaggan and uncle Ustad Qadir Ali Shaggan. He demonstrates taan tayyari and laykari with great skill and has been performing to much acclaim in both India, Pakistan as well as Europe.

Muslim Shaggan will be accompanied by Asher Shehzad on tabla, Gul Muhhammad on sarangi, Ghulam Abbas on harmonium and Wajid Ali on Tanpura.
