- **Event Description**: Lauhala Weaving Series with Hawaiian cultural practitioners Mahina & Cheryl Pukahi.About this EventThe Lauhala Honu series is being created to allow participants to work on and complete larger projects while being instructed by cultural practitioners in their area of expertise.Participants will be creating a honu (turtle) that will be 10" long and 6" wide. Each class will be assembling different parts of the honu, then putting it all together during last class.Check in at the register at least 15 minutes prior to class start time.Classes will be the first 3 Thursdays in July:Thursday, July 10, from 5pm-9pmThursday, July 24, from 5pm-9pmThursday, July 31, from 5pm-9pmThe Lauhala are carefully harvested, cleaned and assembled prior to class. All materials are included in ticket price.Participants must sign up by June 8th, 5pm to participate in all 3 days. In order for you to complete your project signups after June 8th will not be taken. Walk in will be taken until June 8th @ 5pm but early sign up is highly encourage so that the practitioner has enough time to prepare your materials.
